Our Story

Before Seabreeze Gifts opened in 2014, we were originally known as The Old Ivy Gift Cottage, which opened in March 1995.  We were located in the rustic town of Coombs, B.C., world-famous for its market with the “Goats on the Roof” - yes they really lived up on the roof!

The 20 years we spent in Coombs went by so quickly, learning the business and keeping up with the busy spring and summer tourist seasons. Over the years, we had 3 different locations along the row of stores behind the Coombs Market.

After we left Coombs, new buildings transformed that area...it’s hard to imagine our store having been there, but we do have pictures to prove it, and will always have very happy memories of our customers and the comradery with the other shop merchants.

In 2014, we were very blessed to find a new location in Qualicum Beach where we could expand with the extra square footage the space offered.  With more local customers, we enjoy an extended season, and the build up to Christmas...the people of Qualicum Beach love this time of year and are generous givers. We so appreciate our customers, neighbours, landlords, and know it’s a privilege to be here at 180 Second Avenue West.
